18th Artificial Intelligence Art and Aesthetics Research Group: “AI - Aesthetics – Music”
Will artificial intelligence be able to create creative works in the future? Will AI achieve its own consciousness and create art within its own imaginativeness and rules?
These questions were in the centre of the “Artificial Intelligence Art and Aesthetics Exhibition”, which was held at the Okinawa Institute for Science and Technology in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Tokyo from 3. November until 8. January.
This following workshop will reflect the concert series “Artificial intelligence and music”, which was presented at the “Artificial Intelligence Art and Aesthetics Exhibition”. The involved composers Masahiro Miwa, Kiyoshi Furukawa, Hirokazu Hiraishi and Tsubasa Tanaka will present parts of the concert and will talk about their views on the interaction between humans and machines in the creative process.
The presentation follows a discussion with the curator Hideki Nakazawa and the four composers.
