Powerful enchantment through words and the narrative interculturality of their literature are elements that connect the writers Ilma Rakusa (Switzerland) and Yoko Tawada (D-JP). The new Japanese version of the book “Mehr Meer” by Rakusa, translated by Fuminari Niimoto is a good reason to present passages from it. Yoko Tawada, who wrote the postface for “Mehr Meer”, will present her poetic story “Ein Balkonplatz für flüchtige Abende”. The following discussion will focus on the transformation and overcoming of language and nation borders.
