In our series of talks „theater anders denken” (thinking theater differently) we regularly present exceptional approaches to contemporary theater. On April 5th, we offer a glimpse into the work of Komische Oper Berlin with our guest Ulrich Lenz. The unique characteristic of their production of “Die Zauberflöte” is the mixture of opera and animation. It is an experiment gone right, that offers a vivacious interaction between the singers and the characters on screen. Ulrich Lenz is head dramaturg at the Komische Oper Berlin since 2012 and will talk about the creative process and the collaboration with the British theater group “1927”.
